All of our candles are made with 3 ingredients: soy wax, cotton wicks, & essential oils (or a combination of of essential oils and pthalate-free/paraben-free fragrance oils). 

  3. How long do your candles burn? At MatchBox Candle Co., we take pride in offering a range of candle sizes to suit various preferences and needs. Our 16oz single wick candles provide a comforting glow for approximately 100 to 125 hours, allowing you to indulge in the soothing ambiance for an extended period. The 9oz candles in our collections offer a burn time of 50 to 60 hours, while our 4oz candles burn for approximately 20 to 25 hours, perfect for cozy moments or small spaces. For those seeking a longer burn with a captivating ambiance and a scent throw that cannot be beat, our double wick 16oz candles provide around 90-100 hours of fragrant delight. Each candle is thoughtfully crafted to ensure a prolonged and enchanting experience, adding warmth and comfort to your space.

  4. Are your fragrances synthetic or natural? All of our fragrances use either pthalate-free and paraben-free fragrance oils, 100% essential oils, or some combination thereof. 

  5. Do you use sustainable packaging for your candles? Yes! Our packaging includes using recycled boxes, compostable/biodegradable packing peanuts, and paper masking tape.

    2. First Burn: Allow your candle to create a full melt pool (liquid wax reaching the edges) on the first burn to avoid tunneling and maximize the scent throw.

    3. Burn Time: Keep your candle lit for no more than 4 hours at a time to prevent overheating and maintain an even burn.

    4. Extinguish Safely: Use a snuffer or gently blow out the candle to extinguish it. Avoid dipping the wick into the wax.

    5. Storage: Store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources to prevent warping or color fading.

    6. Caution: Always place candles on a heat-resistant surface and away from flammable materials. Keep them out of reach of children and pets.
